Diagonal Situps
Start lying down, hands behind head, knees bent. It's often helpful to tuck your feet under something (that won't move), as for situps. Sit up with a turn at the waist that brings one elbow towards your knee on the same side. Don't jerk, and avoid pulling your head up. Then lie back again. Repeat for alternate sides.
