Serratus anterior

One of the hidden heroes of archery form, the serratus anterior hides under your shoulder blade and pulls it round towards the front of your body, where the serratus anterior meets the ribs. This action is one of the few that can push your arm outwards from your body "from the shoulder"; it is almost certainly important for good support for the bow arm.
