Extensor digitorum (finger extensors)

The muscles that "extend" the fingers from curled to straight. Not much used in either hand for shooting; even at loose, the relaxation of the string fingers is sufficient for the string to move them out of the way, so the finger extensors don't need to do anything, and in fact don't until after the arrow has gone. Ideally the extensors should be kept relaxed in both forearms.
